CCI wasn’t created from theory alone. It has grown from almost a decade of hands-on experience building Fetch n Fun — a highly awarded daycare and wellness centre on the Gold Coast, created around a simple belief that dogs deserve exceptional care and the people caring for them deserve exceptional education.
Over the years, our team has welcomed thousands of dogs through our doors, built and developed a passionate team of canine-care professionals, refined our systems and standards, and learned first-hand what it takes to create safe, enriching and professionally managed daycare days.
That experience is now at the heart of Canine Care Institute. We’re taking the lessons, knowledge, standards and genuine love for dogs that have shaped Fetch n Fun and using them to help educate the next generation of daycare professionals — and support the businesses helping move our industry forward.

A welcoming six-module online course for school leavers, career changers and dog lovers who are curious about turning their passion into a professional daycare career.
You’ll explore: what the job really involves, understanding dogs, creating great daycare days, working within a professional team and where a career in canine care can lead.

Professional Doggy Daycare Program
A comprehensive 17-module pathway combining theory, assessment and practical learning. Created for people ready to deepen their knowledge, grow their confidence and develop the skills needed to care for dogs professionally in a daycare environment.
Topics include canine health, body language, welfare, suitability assessments, group play, behaviour and arousal, enrichment, conflict intervention, WHS, biosecurity, first aid, client service, incident reporting and operations.

Caring for dogs professionally is hands-on, thoughtful work. Through our professional pathway, students can see how knowledge comes together in a real daycare environment — learning to observe, communicate, support appropriate interactions, provide enrichment and help create days where dogs can feel safe, understood and cared for.
Our role in daycare is not to replace qualified dog trainers. CCI teaches daycare professionals how to create safe, well-managed environments, actively supervise dogs, understand what they are communicating and gently guide appropriate social interactions — while recognising when a dog’s needs are best supported by a qualified trainer.
